A TRIP DESIGNED FOR YOU
With the destination revealed just before you go
We Plan It. You Travel It.
Planning a trip today is harder than it should be; we're overwhelmed by conflicting advice, endless recommendations, and itineraries that are designed to chase highlights rather than create meaningful journeys. Somewhere along the way, the spontaneity of travel has disappeared.
At Tripitect, our goal is to bring that back! We design personalised journeys based on how you like to travel — but we only reveal the destination to you just before you go.
This added element of mystery is not a gimmick. It’s an invitation to trust our process - and to rediscover what it feels like to arrive somewhere without endless research shaping your expectations.
Having your trip planned for you means relinquishing some control, and we believe that going in blind, without expectation, gives you the energy to discover a place without any preconceived ideas. It also gives us the opportunity to gently nudge you beyond what’s familiar. We believe the best journeys take you outside your comfort zone from time to time — not just for the sake of adventure itself, but because those are often the experiences you remember the most.
The Process
Consultation
This is an opportunity for us to understand you and your travel preferences far more than a survey ever could. We learn what kind of traveller you are, what experiences excite you, and the balance of challenge and comfort that feels right for you.
For most travellers, that conversation marks the beginning of a personalised mystery journey, where your destination remains unknown until days before departure.
And, if complete mystery isn't quite for you, we can adapt our approach to give you a little more control—without compromising the philosophy behind the journey.
Design
With a clearer understanding of how you like to travel, we begin designing your journey from the ground up.
Every destination, detour, and overnight stop is chosen with intention—creating an itinerary with the right pace, rhythm, and balance between structure and flexibility.
Designing an itinerary is part logistics, part art. Ours are carefully composed so each destination feels like a natural chapter in your journey, rather than just another stop along the way.
Reveal
Now that everything is in place, we'll reveal your journey shortly before departure. By this point, your flights, accommodation, and key logistics have already been arranged, leaving you free to focus on what matters most: the experience ahead.
Your reveal includes a detailed travel guide designed specifically for your trip, containing everything you need to travel with confidence—from practical information and recommendations to the story of how your journey will unfold.
The surprise ends here. The adventure begins.
The Trip Itself
Once you jet off, the itinerary we have created is yours to enjoy, but also yours to shape as you go. You may decide to stay somewhere longer, move on sooner, change direction, or pursue an opportunity that could never have been planned in advance. That’s exactly why your itinerary is designed with flexibility in mind.
We will continue to support you throughout your trip. Whether plans change unexpectedly or you simply choose a different path, we're on hand to adjust bookings, reshape your itinerary, and take care of the practical details that might otherwise make spontaneity difficult.
The structure is there when you need it, but there is always room for the journey to evolve.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
After an initial consultation, we agree on clear boundaries — including budget, climate preferences, destinations to exclude, activity level, comfort expectations, and any hard limitations.
Within those agreed parameters, we select and design the destination and overall journey.
You won’t know the destination immediately. Instead, you’ll receive practical information in stages — including packing guidance, entry requirements, and physical expectations — without revealing where you’re going.
The full reveal will happen shortly before departure, through your personalised itinerary booklet.
Don’t forget - the surprise is never random! It’s considered, deliberate, and shaped entirely around you.
-
Absolutely! This is your rodeo. Your destination is never chosen at random and is shaped around your preferences.
During the consultation, we discuss your budget, timeframe, travel style, climate preferences, comfort level, interests, and any hard exclusions. This allows us to narrow the world down to destinations that you are genuinely interested in.
You can influence the type of experience you want — whether that’s cultural, adventurous, slow-paced, social, or nature-focused — without needing to choose the exact destination yourself.
And, at the end of the day, if you already have a destination in mind, just let us know and we can still create a fantastic mystery itinerary for your chosen location together.
-
It comes down to how you travel.
Some people want a challenge, others want a slower pace — most want a mix. We take everything from the consultation and design a trip that actually suits you.
We will search for locations that fit perfectly within your specific parameters while ensuring we don’t default to typical ‘tourist-trail’ routes.
-
Your personal Tripitect travel guide will arrive in the mail at least 7 days before departure.
Before then, we'll send you anything you need to prepare—including your packing list and other important practical information—without revealing your destination. You will be just as prepared as you would be for any other trip.
Open the guide whenever you’re ready, and if you'd rather not know your final destination until the last possible moment, you can keep it sealed right up until the airport.
It's your journey—you decide how the reveal unfolds.
-
We can design journeys of almost any length. That said, we specialise in trips between two weeks and six weeks; our ‘Goldilocks’ Zone.
This timeframe allows you to properly settle into a destination, travel at a considered pace, and avoid the stress that often comes with rushed itineraries.
As trips get longer, good pacing and intelligent route design become far more important than simply booking flights and accommodation. A well-structured itinerary reduces travel fatigue, improves flow, and allows you to engage more meaningfully with each place you visit.
-
Our service covers every stage of designing and coordinating your journey—from our initial consultation through to supporting you while you're travelling.
We arrange core logistics such as flights, accommodation and some activities, structure the overall route and pacing, and provide guidance on entry requirements and practical considerations.
Before departure, you'll receive your Tripitect travel guide along with everything you need to prepare with confidence.
What’s included is agreed up front. It is your trip, so please make us aware of anything else that you want to include in the scope; whether that’s marking a special occasion or building in something specific you’d love to experience.
